ABOUT MY PROJECT
Piece of Me
I wanted my final project to be a reflection of myself—my interests, passions, etc. I've had the idea for this video for several months now, and I saw this as the perfect opportunity to make my concepts a reality. Editing and animation are two fields I really took interest in over the last four years, and I wanted to showcase what I learned about both.
Creating a visual roadmap for my project was very important because I only had clear ideas for pieces of the video and needed to establish some sort of concept for the parts that I wasn't sure about. From here, I took my efforts into After Effects to begin editing. I made a few versions, cleaning and adding touches as I went until I finally got the version below.
Final
The Future
I would like to put out more work like this. The idea is to make more content like this for sites like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. I also set up a Patreon that I want to expand on. Securing a job is going to be a long process, so this could be a good way to expand my portfolio and potentially earn money until I get a desirable job—or I can do this full time if I can get enough traction on my pages.
